Dance Company & Competition Team
   Freedom of Movement Dance Company began in 1998 as a fifteen member, non-profit performing edition of the former, Free To Dance Studio. Since then, FOMDC has evolved into a technique based performance company. In 2001, Freedom of Movement Dance Academy was established to serve as a home base for FOMDC. The company is comprised of dancers between the ages of 5 and 18, who
are dedicated to dance and desire additional training and performance experience.
Auditions are held annually for the company. To provide extensive technical training in all aspects of dance. Special emphasis is placed on correct technique and student progress. FOMDC addresses the needs of individual students To provide additional opportunities for dancers to gain performance experience. In addition to dance conventions and competitions FOMDC produces two annual productions, Spirits of Spring and a Christmas production. To promote dance as an art form and reach out to the general public and the dance community. In addition to the public performances, FOMDC performs for school groups and at senior care facilities.
